THE SPQR is a flagship design: a hand-wound mechanical watch built for everyday wear. There is no battery to replace. Wind it, and a power reserve indicator on the dial shows how much running time is left, up to 50 hours.
The curved dial comes in ivory or black, with raised Arabic numerals and bar indexes. The seconds and minute tracks follow the curve of the dial. The blue hands shift in tone with the angle of the light. Over the dial sits a box-shaped sapphire crystal with an inner anti-reflective coating, which keeps the dial easy to read.
The strap is French calf leather in camel from SOMES Saddle, Japan's only equestrian saddlery maker. It softens and deepens in color with wear. A stainless steel push-button deployant clasp keeps the watch secure on the wrist.
